Riverwalk RV Park in Jonesville -August 2025

It’s been over a year since we last camped. For one reason or another, whether it was due to time or weather, our best-laid plans were constantly thwarted. This time, we followed through no matter what lay in our path.

We are enjoying the Riverwalk RV Park in Jonesville, which boasts some nice perimeter sites, where we are camped, which is next to the river. We can’t see the river until we are on the trail that runs behind our campsite, but we are surrounded by lush trees that are beautiful.

The RV Park also includes a pond with a beach, complete with chairs and cabanas to relax under while running your toes through the sand, or taking a dip in the pond to cool off.

Next to some sites, they have hung several hammocks and a nostalgic, cute Rainbow Bridge area in honor of lost pets. Many campers have placed their beloved dog tags along the bridge as a tribute to their cherished furbabies. Had we known, we would have hung tags for Ramsey – it is our first camp trip without him since owning the 5th wheel.

Ramsey would have enjoyed visiting the large dog park offered or walking the lovely trail that runs behind the RV park and continues for a way in both directions.

On that trail, further up, a covered bridge comes into view and beckons one to safely cross while taking in the views of not only the river, but the covered bridge itself.

Along the trail is Sasquatch, which is a fun and unsuspecting sculpture.

And another fun thing on the trail is a face that’s been placed on a tree trunk!

Throughout our four-day stay, we managed to find a local winery, Midnight Magdalena, and stopped by for a tasting. The wines were good, and the view was outstanding! We sat out on the deck and enjoyed the banter of our hostess as we conversed on a few topics, one of which was wine – of course! Marley enjoyed relaxing with us and promptly lay down to rest for the duration of our tasting.

Overall, it was a great location and a place we will visit again for a few days of much-needed R&R.
