Tanglewood Park (A Christmas Fantasy Land)

Last week, we drove toward Charlotte, NC, to see the Christmas lights. Our neighbors told us about driving through this park resort that is well known for decorating for the holidays. We had to see for ourselves.
This is Tanglewood’s 34th season to bring about the Festival of Lights. Each holiday season, visitors come together to celebrate in the magical glow of the Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights. Spanning from mid-November to New Year’s Day, this enchanting event has become a must-see attraction, drawing an impressive 55,000 vehicles and approximately 300,000 visitors annually.
Drive through miles of dazzling displays, from storybook scenes to holiday themes, all illuminated by over one million LED lights. It’s an unforgettable experience for all ages!
The beautiful displays are approximately 5.1 miles long, and yes, they are dazzling. Unfortunately, with taillights breaking, nighttime, and driving, many of my pictures taken with my cell was blurred. But I couldn’t help but share!
Without further ado…

We were greeted by this big, beautiful sign, Season’s Greetings!

I just love the glow of this beautiful tree, all lit up and gorgeous!

We three kings of orient are…

It’s a castle!

…And the north wind blew…

Now this is camping!

We were met by many arched lights that we drove under!

I can’t tell if that’s Donner or Blitzen…

Here comes Santa and his reindeer!

And as the morning sun makes an appearance, the reindeer are returned to their stalls.

A carriage ride – YES!

I love the glow of these beautiful candles!

Yes, the real meaning of Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all – and to all, a good night!
